HOW DO I GET CHANNEL GUIDE FOR BOTH OTA AND CABLECARD TUNER DEVICES AT SAME TIME IN PLEX?

I am using the Plex DVR BETA Server Version 1.2.0.3167 and have a SiliconDust HDHomeRun Extend OTA 2 tuner box and also a HDHomeRun Prime CableCARD 3 tuner box, both configured within my Plex DVR. The problem I have is so far I can’t find a way to get both a channel guide for my OTA and for my Cable channels. The guide is only showing schedules for the OTA channels and I want to be able to schedule some channels on the OTA channels while being able to record from my CableCard channels but without the Channel Guide for the Cable channels I can’t record anything from the Prime tuner. How can I get both guides to work with my Plex DVR setup?

Looking to take the Plex plunge as well and curious to the same; does the current beta support two guides for the two different tuners?

Please don’t shout.

You’ll more likely to get a correct answer in the DVR subforum.

Not a Plex Pass subscriber yet; was waiting until I got some more info. Thanks for the response

Not sure if this got answered (was searching myself) but I found that it is possible but not exposed to the UI right now so you have to manually create and delete a DVR of each type then add them each back manually via cURL commands (I haven’t tested it myself). The relevant forum in the DVR beta section:

Quick note on this one. Two options - create “two DVRs” or two tuners with one DVR.

Right now the easiest solution in the near term is One DVR…Assuming the cable has the most channels, and the antenna has less. Start from scratch creating the DVR/Tuner combo with the cable first. This gives you the channel guide for cable instead of OTA. Then add the OTA tuner, and with that…map the OTA channels to the Cable channel equivalent.

With the other option - as mentioned above, it can be done - I did (2 DVR instances). Issue I was having - try to record a show, and it was recording on both cable and OTA at the same time :-/ Not ready for use in this config yet, at least for me.
