How do I import my iTunes Playlists?

Server Version#: Version 1.41.3.9314
Player Version#: I’m using the web player here to test

I’ve used iTunes for years. I have something like 120gb of music all of it ranked 1-5 stars and a lot of “smart” playlists made that do things like “Play songs with a 4+ Star rating that has a play date of 30+ days or older.” etc things like that.

I started using plexamp months ago and I’ve tried half a dozen methods to import my playlists and it’s maddeing that none of them have worked. In my most recent attempt I no longer even have a playlists category in plex.

What do I need to do to import the playlists? Can I even get playlsits back?

Have you enabled the iTunes plugin under settings > library and read this Support Article about the iTunes plugin?

I don’t use iTunes, but that’s what I would do if I wanted to use it.

I have and it didn’t help.

I tried removing my music library from Plex and then readding after enabling the plugin but it doesn’t pull the playlists.

I would like to add all the song ratings and playlists to Plex so I can stop using iTunes entirely but having to transfer my ratings and playlsits manually woudl take weeks or months which isn’t necesary.

The support article isn’t correct anymore. There’s no option for an iTunes plugin

Sure wish we could get some definitive info on this

It would be nice wouldn’t it? I’d love to have all this in my Plex, I could finally not worry about my iTunes

I still see the option for iTunes plugin, but it doesn’t show up after relaunch..

They need to remove it if it doesn’t work anymore!!

Well, this was a depressing thread to find! Just started using PlexAmp a few weeks ago, and am LOVING some of the built in features. Random Album Radio is one of the greatest simple ideas ever! However, I too had a TON of playlists in iTunes, which is why it took me until now to make the switch… the plugin shows up under plugins, but doesn’t seem to do anything… the settings point to the iTunes XML library file… and nothing. So close (seemingly) but so very far away!

Honestly not the END of the world if I can’t get them back, because right now I’m really loving having ALL of my music available on the go, rather than just the tiny fraction I could fit directly on my phone. But getting this to work would absolutely be the cherry on top.
