How do I permanently turn off Announcements.
I would not mind if it was once a month but getting the same Announcement six times in one day is beyond a joke.
What announcement?
Are you actually using the Plex player for Windows software? (It’s a separate download)
Or are you using the plex web app, running on a web browser?
It is the Plex Media Server on a Windows system.
It’s the same on Plex for Windows or Plex Web using a browser
No matter how many times you read it, the notification just keeps coming back
It’s like getting a text you swipe off your lock screen and every time you pick the phone up, it’s back
I don’t believe there’s anyway to turn it off. It will disappear when the sale for a Plex Pass is over
This is an unacceptable response. “It will disappear when the sale is over” is not ok. Especially when the Announcement in question is not regarding Plex Pass or anything related. I currently have the Introducing Skip Credits one that won’t go away. We need someone competent and who actually can get the issue passed to the developers, not someone just answering chats and giving unacceptable answers of “tough”.

I was clearing up some confusion about where the notification was, and relaying a message from another thread about when the message would disappear so iceman knew
I wasn’t exactly happy about the notification either, which should have been obvious to “someone competent” lol

I have the same annoying bug with the last announcement (Introducing Skip Credits). Doesn’t matter what I do, it’s still showing.
