So all my English subtitles have the filename.srt format. However when I play a plex movie instead of “English” subtitle it displays it as “Unknown SRT” Where and how can I rename that?
The file name needs to include the language as part of the file name, for starters.
Example:
A Perfect Murder (1998).mp4
A Perfect Murder (1998).eng.srt
And this worked great for me.
There might be other things involved, like encoding, etc. but this works for most of my subs.
