Hello guys
Since last beta update 1.12.3.4947 all my SRT subtitles files are gone.
I usually download subtitles as SRT and rename it to the same MKV name with no problems while playing.
Got to check Plex Web global settings and didn’t find the same setup I did on my PMS.
As you can see (attach) I always chose Unknown for the subs lang so it matches my SRT files (Unknown - Movie name.srt)
Today everything is gone and I can’t find a solution for this.
Already tried app reinstalled PMS and nothing.
thnx in advance
If you are naming your subtitles like this Unknown - Movie name.srt then you are naming the file wrong. Languages come after the title like Batman.en.srt for english. If it is “unknown” you add nothing
Batman.mkv
Batman.srt
I didn’t name SRT files Unknown. I name it exactly as you mentioned: MKV name = SRT name.
It is just a misunderstanding.
The only way for the PMS to read it is to chose Unknown prefer subtitles and Always enable it.
The language you have selected in the first screenshot is not ‘Unknown’.
Your screenshot above shows that the checkbox ‘Automatically select Audio and Subtitle tracks’ is not filled. Put a checkmark into it.
Not working like that anymore no matter the setup config.
Got this video I did.
Hope that helps

Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Plex Movie
does the line ‘Local Media Assets’ have a check mark in front of it?
Verify the same under
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - TheMovieDatabase
and
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Personal Media

Well oddly enough this changed back to normal things here.
Thing is I wasn’t using the local media agent and yet it was working just fine until today…
Enabled the local media and put it in the first place above Plex movie agent.
Everything is good now.
Thanks for help.

I can’t recommend putting it into the top position.
Drag it downwards, it’ll work just as well.

Will try that but I guess plex guide should be outdated huh ?
