Unfortunately, I Uninstall Plex Media Server From My QNAP Server.
It Seems That My Attempt To Re-Install The Plex Media Server On The QNAP Provided Me With The Following Error: “Not Authorized - You Do Not Have Access To This Server”.
Well, If You Can Help Me Re-Assocate My Plex Server To The Plex Account, That Would Be Great.
The iMac Was My Latest Failed Attempt To Get The PMS Working On Some Other Computer.
Is It Possible To Get Rid Of The iMac Version Also…Because My End State Is To Get PMS Working On My QNAP NAS Again? This Was Where PMS & My Contents Reside In The Past…And Hopefully Future Again.
I Did A Uninstalled & Re-Installed Of PMS On The QNAP. I’m Willing To Re-Build My Libraries From Scratch Again. Is There Any Side-Effects / Residuals That I Need To Clean When I “Uninstalled” PMS From QNAP?
BTW, I Use Safari As A Browser…Instead Of Chrome. Hopefully, It’s OK.
I Made Sure PMS Is Stopped (Even Restarted The Mac).
PMS Is Installed On QNAP
Open Safari In Private Window Mode…And Enter http://129.112.1.22:32400/web - Got Error Message: Safari Can’t Open The Page (The Server & Mac Is On The Same IP - 129.112.1.XXX)
I Launched PMS Through Plex On QNAP…Getting Error Message: Not Authorized - You Do Not Have Access To This Server.
Do you have addresses of 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x ?
Turning on secure connections does require the LAN addressing to work.
With all authentication and SSL turned off, you can pretty much have any IP address range you want --provided-- you don’t want remote access either.
You went down the rabbit hole but stepped in a poodle
Everything Is Working Fine…Just PMS. I’m Behind My Router.
For Years, I Use A Different IP Address (Not The Standard 192.168.0 / 1.XXX)…All Fine. PMS Worked For Years Under My Old IP Also…With Secure Connection.
I Recently Got A New Router…So, I Decided To Change IP For Ease To Swap To The New Setup. All Devices Are Working On The New Setup…Streaming And All.
