Hi. I have an issue that has been slowly driving me nuts. I almost exclusively listen to music through PlexAmp, (Chrome)casting to various devices. Inevitably after a while Google Home will take over the controls (the Plexamp app won’t show what is currently playing, will have no ability to pause, skip, etc., and won’t even show that it is connected to a cast device any longer). When I open the Home app, I may or may not be able to control my music, sometimes it works, sometimes I can only pause, or disconnect, then start from scratch. Also, once G.H. has taken over, music will stop completely before long.
The only option I can find that even vaguely relates to this issue is the per-device option of “allow others to control media”, which is turned off for everything. I imagine, or hope, anyway, that I’m missing something obvious. Please help!
Oh yeah, I have, indeed, done a search for this topic. If I missed an existing thread, please feel free to ridicule me, or thrash me across my virtual thumbs. But point me in the right direction while you’re at it.
