Can plex learn infuse? Provide us with the choice of background color for closing subtitles? Or let’s decide the transparency percentage, OK? It’s easy to cause discomfort to watch such subtitles all the time. Please give us a choice, thank you.
That’s a Roku player, right?
If yes, then the configuration should be done through Roku’s settings, not Plex. Also, set burn to Automatically
Hello. I’m using the IOS version of plex. I tried a lot of methods, but still couldn’t turn off the gray background of subtitles. It’s really bad.
@lllakimo I was having the same issue. By default iOS has background for subtitles, at least it did for me. You have to change the opacity of subtitle background in iOS settings, go to accessibility > subtitles & captioning and then create a new style with 0% opacity.

@tjshawn Hi, thank you for your help. It really worked! I really hope to see this news earlier. Just a few weeks ago, I bought “infuse” for this purpose. I hope that the staff of plex can put this function into plex to make it convenient for users, because many people don’t know this way. And “infuse” is a good solution to this problem.
