Tautulli isn’t really necessary for the sharing of playlists but it is for pulling data from Tautulli (Top Movies/Shows).
Webtools, my script, and this project all allow for sharing Plex Playlists.

+1 I would love this feature. But why would they bother adding features that plex pass users have been wanting for years when they can keep adding stuff nobody want?

+1 vote for this! I have Collections like Marvel, star wars, star trek, harry potter, james bond, mission impossible… all collections i would like to set so my users (friends and family) can go to said collection and hit play.

+1 For share Playlist. I like to make playlist of movies in chronological order and id like my home users to be able to utilize the lists.
Personally i’d like either sharable playlists, or custom sections. something i could put like “Must Watch items!” or “New to anime? watch these!” in

I thought I was missing something, only to come here and find out all these frustrated folks have been asking for this seemingly simple feature for years. My 70+ year old mother shouldn’t be expected to wade through all my movies and TV for something to watch or navigate tags and filters etc. Why in the world can’t I create a playlist titled “Movies Mom Might Like” and share it with her? The only reason I pay $60/year is so I can share my stuff. Please add this simple feature.

Just come to realize now I can’t share music playlists with the wife… I’m sure Webtools is a great plan B (and does other things) but I have not purchased the lifepass to play with workarounds.

Does Webtools automatically update other’s playlists when you add or remove a song? It’s silly to use a third party software just to share a playlist with your family and friends.

Hi All, there is a successful solution/workaround for this until the feature of actually being able to share playlists has been properly addressed. The workaround that I’ve used to great success with friends/users is to tag each SONG with a MOOD.
If you think about it, it’s essentially a different implementation of the same thing. You listen to music and create playlists based on mood anyway. You can keep all the same mood tags you already have, but by adding an extra tag to each song you’d like to group together in a playlist, your friends and users will be able to search by the specific mood and in essence, you have a shareable playlist.

I would also like to see playlist sharing implemented.
I currently have a huge list of movies/TV and have sorted them into playlists for myself, I’ve been mistakenly thinking my friends could also see and use the playlists by default, turns out I was wrong all along.
