I've got a mkv that has subtitles encoded in to it but I can't work out how to turn the subtitles off. I'm using HDMI-CEC to manage the Pi, Is there a web interface to control RaspPlex similar to RaspBMC?
You should be able to turn subtitles off through the audio menu during playback. Using a keyboard hit "m", not sure what it would be on your remote.
On a typical Samsung remote, you access the in-playback menu with the "OK/Confirm" button, the one in the middle of the horizontal/vertical arrow keys you normally use to navigate the TV menus.
For Samsung TV, this is the key "map":
Left / Right : Skip +/- 30 seconds
Up / Down: Skip +/- 10 minutes
RETURN: Info ("i" on keyboard)
EXIT: Esc key
OK: Playback menu ("m" key)
And the STOP and PLAY/PAUSE buttons do exactly what they are supposed to :)
Witch subtitles are supportet ? only text, or graphics too? witch Format?
I found an extra way to do it. In the media server config under advanced settings> Languages > I put the subtitle mode in to manual. Thanks for your advice guys
