I've encountered two problems with Rasplex recently - in some cases
1. Rasplex is unable to switch to the desired audio track on a movie which has been dubbed into several languages, even though other plex clients in my house can. Even when selecting correct audio track from the server and directing it to play on Raspberry Pi the audio is still wrong
Sorry I can't help with this, but I suspect that some keyboard command is used to switch audio tracks in PHT (which includes RasPlex).
(Unless they simply overlooked the need for it in the PHT client coding.)

2. Rasplex isn't reading the correct subtitles file. When played from other clients the correct language appears, but even when making the correct selection from the server and playing it on the Raspberry Pi the subtitles are in the wrong language.
Server settings might be used to set a default choice, but the final choice must of course be made in each client, since there may be many of them with different needs (per user I mean). So every client must have this ability...

Can i switch audio track directly on Rasplex? Can see no options for it or find the shortcut key. Similarly for subs, all I appear to be able to do is turn them on/off.
I don't know how to choose audio tracks, but for subtitles there are two different shortcut keys.
S => toggle currently chosen subtitle on/off
L => step through the available subtitle tracks (with "L" standing for "Language" of course)
NB: I have tested both commands successfully with correctly named SRT subtitles (eg: "moviename.en.srt" + "moviename.sv.srt").
SRT files without language indicator in the filename also work, but are shown as "Unknown" instead of the correct language.
VOBSUB subtitles (.SUB + .IDX file pairs) seem to work locally on a PC, but not remotely with PHT/RasPlex.
The same problem also seems to afflict subtitles embedded inside the video files, possibly due to dependence on local PC codecs for their playback. This is probably an issue of the Plex Media Server, rather than of PHT/RasPlex.
My advice is to stick with separate SRT files as much as possible, even though conversion from VOBSUB format is a real pain... :(
(VOBSUB conversion requires OCR analysis, which can never be fully automated. The user must help define the character sets for it.)
But extraction of SRTs embedded in MKV files is very simple, using the "MKV Extract GUI2" utility with the "MKVToolnix" suite. :)
The mmg.exe program (aka: "MKV Merge GUI") from that suite can be used to restream the video files to remove unwanted subtitle tracks.
NB: Such restreaming is very quick, as all kept tracks are passed through untouched, whether video, audio or text.
