How do you use an .apk Plex Media Server .apk file on an Asustor Nimbustor 4?

Ive been repeatedly asked by my Plex Media Server to upgrade to the new software so I duly downloaded the software file onto my Asustor 5304T Nimbustor 4 NAS but I cannot find any way to open the .apk file.

Does anybody have ANY idea how to do this?

You need to use the App Central on the NAS itself. There is an option for manual install. Select that, then choose the file you downloaded. https://www.asustor.com/online/College_topic?topic=235
