Asustor App Store not up-to-date

Player Version#: Plex for iOS 2025.10.1 (970)

I am using the Asustor AS5404T, which is on your compatibility list. The Asustor App Store lists Plex Inc. as the maintainer of the server app offered there. However, with the recent client update I am locked out of accessing the server from latest clients as the server is described as not compatible asking for version 1.41.2.

Are you planning an update for the Asustor app store soon? Do you have a rough ETA? If not, did you or are you going to publish manual update instructions?

You should be able to download the latest release from Plex‘s download page.

Most NAS admin web apps have an option to manually install (incl. update) apps.
I’m not familiar with Asustor… I’ve seen posts from other platforms where Plex reported they submit the new releases to the NAS platform / app team but those won’t always immediately update their App Store (could be some review or other stuff)

Oh, wow. I did some searching in the NAS UI and found that so-called APK-update and it worked. Thanks a lot for the tip.

Hi - the version linked to above is v.1.41.5.9522-a96edc606. My Plex player app on iPhone says version 1.41.2 or higher is needed. Is 1.41.2 available for Asustor NAS or not?

Not sure why the App Store version is lacking behind.
