Okay, it’s been several months now with the new forum layout and I still can’t figure out how to simply read threads and then go back to read more. I scroll down the list for a bit, click into a conversation, read it, click back, and now I’m back at the top of the list again. So if I can’t remember the last thing I read, I’m aimlessly scrolling down again. And sometimes click on a thread I already looked at.
How do I read a thread and go back to where I left off without having to always open it in a new tab?
That is the way it is. The behavior was reported right after the change over but the requests to retain depth of position in a list was totally ignored. I strongly doubt this will be received any differently.
Discourse seems to produce more discord than it does conversation.
I have managed to finally get things set so I can pretty much effectively (I use the “New” and “Unread” section mostly.) use the forums BUT I do not like it much.
There is no way for me to use Discourse as easily as I used the earlier offering.
