How far in advance does the EPG find shows?

This is Thursday May 25. I want to start recording America’s Got Talent which airs in 4 days but cannot find it in the programming guide either by searching or alphabetized. Manually refreshing the guide has no effect. There seems to be no way to merely pick a time, date and station. Thoughts? A 4 day lead seems reasonable.

14 days if your EPG is refreshing. Try rebooting your Plex Server device/computer.

I just checked in my program guide and it shows up for me airing Tuesday night at 8:00pm the 30th of May and another episode the following Tuesday at 8:00pm the 6th of June.

When you first put it in the search box it doesn’t show up (at least for me) unless you hit “Show more results”. Then you go to another page and it shows there.

I am in the US on OTA using a connect device and an extend device.

Shows up when I search. Also what server version are you running?

So far still not finding it.
I am in the US using OTA.
Windows 7 OS
Plex version 1.7.1.3856
I have rebooted Plex and the computer
I have re-scanned the tuner and refreshed the EPG
I have tried “Show More Results”
As far as I can tell looking through the EPG it is only finding shows several days into the future although when I refreshed the EPG the number of shows was 9000+

I believe I have it fixed. I uninstalled my tuner, restarted Plex, reinstalled my tuner and the EPG and now all seems as it should be. Thanks everyone for your suggestions and letting me know it was working for others. You gave me the sense it had to be something local to my system.

Glad it’s working out for you now.

You can also delete the epg files in Plex’s directory (right-click on the PMS icon in the task bar and go to plugins, then navigate from there). That will force a refresh when the EPG gets stuck and invasive than deleting the tuner and beginning again. Thanks! Will.

Will,
I am not finding the epg files in the plugin folder. There are a few in the C:\user\me\appdata folder. Are those the ones you are mean?
Thanks,
H
