I have a lot of fanedits in my movie library. Suddenly all of them are showing up with cropped wide poster images instead of full vertical images when you’re open to the page for that movie. They’re also no longer showing cast information. This has never been a problem before, when I go back to the player version that’s currently bundled with the server download its fixed, but I realise that version will eventually catch up with the hosted one (which I prefer to use anyway). Based on the research I’ve done this is an issue because they’re matched as personal media?
How can I fix this? Thanks.
Attached image of the problem and how it used to look before the issue.
I’m also having the same issue (currently running 1.21.2.3943).
I realized only now after looking for a movie that was part of a collection (with movies matched as “personal media”).
I remember those poster being normal size before, but now they appear as cropped (and like a tv episode poster/cap).
As soon as i unmatch the movie from “personal media” the poster goes back to the normal not cropped size.
With the latest 1.22.2.4282 this seems just fixed for me.
I refreshed all metadata in those folders where I was using “personal media” files, and now all posters are back in portrait/uncropped way.
The crop is fixed for me on the latest version too with a refresh on metadata. Although the metadata Plex used to pull from the original files for cast, etc still no longer show. A small thing though compared to the crop. Glad its fixed.
