How force Plex to rebuild the library

ok, so i had rename the Anime series bleach for it to recognize the content correctly. then plex removed it from the library. I have tried creating new folders, renaming everything. all my files are named Bleach - so1e1.m4v ect. I got so frustrated i made a new library going to the same folder. and it found all the episodes correctly. so how I am guessing there is some sort of data that is blocking bleach from the original library. so how do i get rid of it, or get plex to rebuild the library so it includes all the folders. thanks EDIT: I have tried the scan library function several times, and it wont add it to the library.

Plex Dance…

  1. remove the show folder to a location outside of this library
  2. scan library for updates
  3. empty trash
  4. clear bundles
  5. confirm the files / folders are named correctly and move them back into place
  6. scan library for updates

As for naming the files correctly… not sure this is a typo or if you named your example that way on purpose. Schema should be:

TV Shows
  Show Name
    Season XX
      Show Name - sXXeYY - optional episode title.ext

where…

  • XX is the season number
  • YY is the Episode number within that season
  • ext is the file Extension
