I have just installed Plex on my PC and added the folders and it appears to be loading stuff still. I have it on the same network as my TV but when I go into my TV, even though I can see the server, when I go into the folders to locate a movie, the loading icon comes up on the TV and thinks for ages, then the Plex server disappears from my TV and I have to exit and reload it to see it again. Anyone know what is causing this? My TV model is a Hisense 65M7000UWG smart TV. (Also the Plex app is not on the TV)
Well if the Plex app isn’t on the TV, what are you using?
If you’re using DLNA: don’t. Use the Plex app. Get a Roku if necessary. “Smart” TVs aren’t very “smart”
