Due to a small mishap I had to re-install plex and re-add my libraries.
I’ve only added one library so far, with 2160 movies. It scanned and analysed them in about half an hour. That was a good 12 hours ago, and it’s still downloading the metadata VERY slowly, it seems to be going alphabetically and has only got up to the films starting with N.
Is there a way to speed up the metadata addition? I’m using the Plex Movie agent. The server is a pretty beefy spec - dual xeon e5-2630v3, 64GB of ram and it’s on a gigabit up / gigabit down internet connection and the plex data directory is on SSDs, so I can’t imagine the server performance is the issue.
I wonder if I’m hitting some sort of API limit or it’s otherwise throttling it and I could relax the throttle?
If it helps I’m running Ubuntu Server 16.04 LTS with the rolling Ubuntu Hardware Enablement kernel (4.13.0-39-generic)
Edit: Using PMS Version 1.12.3.4973
