How to add a rating to Ratings Restriction Profiles

Hi!

I’ve been using the provided rating profiles for a while. But lately, I’ve been experiencing an issue.

My library language is Portuguese. Since I changed the metadata agent, General Audiences movies (G), are now being tagged as L (Livre - free), which is the equivalent in my language.
Although it’s the correct rating, the kids can’t watch those movies as the default profiles don’t have the L rating.

Is there a way to edit the default rating profiles?

Thanks.

I have forwarded this to the developers.

Side note: you appear to use some 3rd-party tool which tries every day for several times to log into your plex account with invalid credentials.
Please go through all of these and disable those you are not using anymore.

Which metadata agent did you switch to?

Thank you!
I’m using the new Plex Movie, with Certification Country: Brazil.

The official content ratings here are: L or Livre (no restriction, safe for all audiences), 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18, which is the legal age here. Sometimes, the content rating can appear with the word “anos” (age), like 10 anos (10 years) instead of just 10.

I’ll see what addon is causing those requests. Thanks for the heads up.

Within Plex? Make sure to not enable “Prefer local metadata” in the properties of your movie library. (on the “Advanced” tab)

I’m not using the local metadata. I saw some of these in the library, but I’ve edit them all to the proper system so I’m not sure but I think they were remnants of the old agent I was using.

That’s possible.

After switching agents, you must “Refresh Metadata” of the whole library, which should get rid of those remnants. (Unless the input fields were “locked” on these movies) grafik

Thank you very much for all your help! I want to do that, but I will wait for the local content rating system to be working with the defaults restriction profiles, otherwise I’ll have to edit more files hehe.

Debugging without the Refresh step is not possible then. Because until you do that, the items in your library are still using their old metadata agent’s data. They are in a weird kind of “hybrid” state then.

You’re right. I’ve refresh my entire library. Then I created another library with the same files to double-check, using, once again, the Plex Movie agent, with Brazilian rating content.

I got a lot of “non-standard” content ratings:

So I went to TMDB to check. Those invalids entries are there. I will edit these entries manually on the TMDB website, but the issue with the Brazilian content rating system (L, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18) and the default restriction profiles persists.
