I’m trying to backup my plex server, I’m not so worried about the movie / tv show files themselves. More what I want to backup is the metadata. (So I can avoid this in the future: Help - I formatted my NAS)
I have installed Putty on my computer but now I’m not sure what I’m doing as far as actually creating a backup file
Side note: Can’t they add an option in server setting to backup specific items and automatically?

If you want to backup all your metadata, then I suggest a scheduled rsync task in QTS backup station
You’ll need to backup the complete Library directory, that you can find in the QNAP FAQ in Q11, in a library below that named Library
