How to change server settings?

Hello everyone,

When I start Plex media server from my DSM NAS I seem not to see the server section as mentioned here: How to Use Secure Server Connections | Plex Support

How can I do this change?

How to Enable Secure Connections

Enabling the ability to connect securely with your Plex Media Server is actually really easy. In fact, in a default installation, there isn’t even anything special you need to do, since things will already be set up for you.

  1. Secure connections require Plex Media Server version 0.9.12.3 or newer. So, make sure you’re running a current version of the server.
  2. Sign in to your Plex account in the server.
  3. Under Settings > Server > Network in the Plex Web App, make sure that the Secure Connections preference is not disabled (we recommend leaving it at the default setting of Preferred ).

Good afternoon Trumpy

Yesterday I Got some help from a collegue on this matter.

Plex was installed (xml config file) on the NAS with another email account as I opened The Plex Media Server. That resulted in the problem.

After setting both email adressses correct it worked.

The new email account to use on Plex I should add as a guest-user.

So the case may be closed. Thats why I revoked the key immediatly after the Plex intervention.

Have a nice day and thanks a lot for helping me out at your side.

PS: the settings Ive made to open te port 32400 was not needed either so I deleted port forwarding from that in my router.
