Last.fm is bad at matching music. I need to turn it off.

Go to Agents and disable it at the music tab
You need to know, that when you change the Agent, your already (bad?) matched music will not be matched again (to better?), until you Refresh All Metadata on your library.
Changing the metadata agent for an existing library will only affect future content. It does not retroactively change the agent used for existing library content.

On that same screen, further up the page - ‘Prefer Local Metadata’ is a ‘key feature’. Set the tags correctly, embed some artwork, and combined with 'Personal Media Artists, Music with Plex is something wonderful.
Yep - that’s what I’m trying to do. Last.fm is ignoring the tagged meta data and doing whatever it wants. I have several compilations that are coming up at Pink Floyd. Plex Music is significantly better. Thanks for the tip!
Thank you! I had been looking in the wrong place. I was in Settings > Agents. There, it wasn’t possible to disable last.fm. Still can’t disable it there. I guess this is the systemwide agent while your direction is the agent specific to this library. Would prefer it to be system wide but this will do.
I’m not 100% sure, and as far as I understood the new Plex Music Agent/Scanner correctly, it is not relying on any of the Agents settings.
Please, Plex team, correct me, if I’m wrong:
when you chose “Plex Music” as a Scanner and as an Agent, all settings in the Agent Tab are ignored.
(Guessing, because there is no Agent “Plex Music” you can customize. Only Last.fm and Personal Media Artists/Personal Media Albums)
Yes the Customizations for Plex Music is in the individual library settings. (The options there change depending on what agent is chosen for the library)

Please show us a screenshot, where we can change settings for the Plex Music Scanner/Agent.
I can’t find any settings page for the “Plex Music Scanner”.
There is only Last.FM and Personal Media Artists/Albums.
There are no individual agent setting for Plex music as I mentioned above, they are in are in the library settings. The exact same place you took a screenshot of the drop down menu to choose the Plex Music agent. As the other user mentioned scroll up where you can choose things like Prefer local metadata
