I want to add my music to Plex. For all mp3 I want to use my own tags - so far so good.
Unfortunaltely the tag gerne is alwas taken from lastfm, although I hve disabled the feature "use genre tags from last.fm" !
Can someome please tell me whre I can disable the use of gerne tag directly in a file ? I have tried to edit lastfm.bundle/contents/code/__init__.py.
Unfortunaltely with no success.
I am using Plex on Windows WHS2011.
Any hint is welcome.

That preference should work, but you may need to start a fresh section to clear out any old genres you had in there.

Thanks for the hint, now it is working - more or less.
When checking my ablum (i.e. Aerosmith - Big Ones) I do see my genre "Rock", but when trying to set a filter over all CDs there exists no entry.
When clicking "Rock" on the above CD (Aerosmith) I do get a list of all my "Rock" CDs.
Searching via Filter does not show any CD.
