Users cant download media anymore only the owner.
It’s always been like that.
Fo some client types, you can allow your users to Sync.
Edit the user https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/users-sharing
and grant him the Sync privilege under the ‘Restrictions’ tab.
This will only work with
- Plex for Windows
- Plex for Mac
- Plex for iOS
- Plex for Android mobile
It does not work with e.g. Plex Web or Plex Media Player
Its not always been that way you used to beable to download media if on a web browser.
Matter of fact there is a setting under restrictions that says enable sync and downloading of media it just doesnt work anymore for regular users.
No, only the admin could download. It had always been that way.
