Having good results with Plex Live TV with a HD HomeRun quad tuner box. I have a problem only with one channel so thought I would ask here…
The EPG won’t match one of my local channels (in Boston) 38.3. I can view the channel in the HD Homerun Android app, but it is missing the guide data for the channel as well. In the case of Plex, it won’t show the channel at all since it doesn’t have an appropriate mapping for it.
It should have mapped to 38.3 WSBKDT3 (COMET)
I tried to map it to the other (more distant) COMET channel 10.3, but it didn’t help.
I have the same issue.
HDhomerun finds 31.1 WNNE-HD (central VT) but there is not a corresponding channel on the guide side.
In my case I’m assuming this is a new channel and gracenote has not added it to my area yet.
Both antennaweb.org and otadtv.com do not have this channel listed so that’s a pretty good indicator this was a recent addition.
This might be the case for you as well.
I also have the same problem where my local cable company added a new channel (H&I, or Heros and Icons) and my HDHomeRun Prime has detected it and properly plays it on the PC App as well as on my DLNA capable TVs). It has been quite some time since the channel was added but it is still not showing up on the EPG – and therefore the Plex can’t/won’t play or record from that channel.
Is there anyway to report this to the EPG folks (Gracenote??) or to be able to manually manipulate a configuration file to allow it to be properly handled in Plex?
I have had the same problems in the past, but the new channels do get updated. A slightly different problem is what I am having right now. Living in the San Francisco bay area, I watch OTA movie channel called THIS. Gracenotes schedule for THIS is 2 hours 30 minutes off the stations schedule. I agree, a contact for corrections would be a useful tool, if it ended up fixing the guide.
