I’ve never been a fan of the “On Deck” feature in PLEX. In the past, I disabled this by going into Settings > Library and inputing “0” for the “Weeks to consider for On Deck”. This worked great until the latest update, where I think a PLEX update (1.12.1.4885) broke the setting.
I understand it’s useful for many users, but I’m a linear watcher of my content. If there is a show/movie I like, I’ll finish it before moving onto the next. This is why the “On Deck” feature interrupts the UI/UX flow of my viewing experience. Also, this triggers my OCD tendencies of constantly marking the show watched in order to remove it from the dashboard. The “On Deck” section also pushes down the “Recently Added” sections, which I use all the time to determine what to watch.
Can anyone else confirm this issue? Shouldn’t “On Deck” disappear after marking the “Weeks to consider for On Deck” to “0”?
Thank you in advance for any insight on the problem.
System Notes:
PLEX version 1.12.1.4885
AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-Core 3.5 GHz (6344 Benchmark)
Windows 10 (x64)
16gb RAM
OS running off of 256GB SSD
Media running off of 3 x 6TB Toshiba X300, 7200RPM
Direct LAN connection
Nighthawk R6400 wireless router
ARRIS SURFboard SB6183 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem
Xfinity Broadband (90mb down, 11mb up)
Thank you for the prompt reply. Unfortunately this solution would not work. I still want the library to show on the “Recently Added” sections. I’ll just have to wait until the next update which looks like addresses the issue. Thank you both for the insights.
You’re Plex Pass. You can download the release if desired. Go to plex.tv/downloads and click on “download” under Server. Turn “Plex Pass Downloads” on.

This latest Plex Pass version fixes the “On Deck” display issue @Mikesamsondesign . If you update and set “On Deck” to zero it won’t show up anymore.
While this setting is fixed… It does disable the on deck… However it broke TV shows from appearing in Continue Watching section. I can replicate this issue easy… Just set On Deck back to a random number and the show appears in Continue Watching again… Set it too 0 and it disappears…
Fixed one thing… But broke another… Sounds like the Plex Way…
