How to identify files without interleaving

Server Version#: Version 1.32.2.7002 [
Player Version#: ShieldTV 9.24.0.2105

I’ve had the same issue as described here:

with files using 20X+ bandwidth versus the Mbps of the file being played.
How do I identify if a file is missing or improperly interleaving?
I’m not seeing ‘how’ to see that, only indicators - like high bandwidth utilization.
Is there a field or way to identify this in like mediainfo?

For years I’ve tried to find an app which allows to see this, but failed. I’ve only found an authoring/testing software suite for several thousand dollars which claims to be able to do that.

My solution is to simply remux everything I add to my server. Not only because the interleaving issue, but also to get rid of embedded metadata and to make sure that audio tracks and subtitles are exactly in the order I deem optimal.

THANKS! Thats what I thought, I was going nuts! I saw your response to the referenced post where you said "This file is improperly muxed. ".
I didn’t know if it was based on the symptom ( 19Mbps drawing 900 Mbps) or if there was some other type of resource or wizzardry going on~!
I like your approach.
I may just bite the bullet and remux everything:

mkvmerge -o “${file%.mkv}-remuxed.mkv” “$file”
rm “$file”

You might want to add --tags all:"" to dispose of any XML tags, which are added by some encoders (Handbrake for instance).

(acually, I don’t know if mkvmerge does support the above syntax. I’ve only ever used it with mkvpropedit.)
