Im new to Plex Home Theater, and would like to install OpenPHT on my Q Plus player TV box (LibreELEC 8.2 for Amlogic S912 device).
I researched and find a youtube vid which some old guy who was able to setup on his tv box, but when i try it would not work? (different tvbox? or downlad links?)

I hope some expert here could (test it out) and share the steps to do this. I would be very grateful for any help. PS I not interested in streaming and would only like to play my movie files from my attached HD (with poster files).

Nowadays people use one of the Player Apps located at the ‘Devices/Apps’ link near the bottom of this page.
There is Plex for Whatever - looks like Plexweb, but has Super Playback Powers.
and
Plex Media Player - more suited for Home Theater applications with Super-Duper Powers in the enhanced settings available in TV View mode.
You can install both and use the one you need - when you need it.
If neither work on whatever it is you’re using - that’s a shame.

thx WSA, how easy can i make this “Plex Media Player” install on my Q+ and run at setup with options to play my local movies from attached HD (no streming)?
You can’t, as far as I know, use Plex at all without a ‘Server’.
The Server serves files to the client - in this case the client is PMP or PfW or whatever.
Anytime you play anything on anything you are watching a Stream.
In the Plexiverse that stream must come from a Server.
