Question about OpenPHT

I get that OpenPHT is a third party fork of the discontinued Plex media centre.

If in install OpenPHT & point it at my local media (NAS) will it be enough or is OpenPHT umbilically joined to the US Plex company for functionality?

I don’t need remote streaming and all that nonsense.
