How to keep PlexConnect updated?

With PMS and Media Players we have automatic updates. What is the best way to keep PlexConnect with the latest development?

 

Please be mindful and keep your response noob friendly.

It is still beta and we are looking to do binary releases, i.e. the more friendly standalone applications rather than source code.

The source code will always give you the latest bleeding edge code, there are two ways to update it:

  1. Use git to download and update the source code (if you know what you are doing).
  2. Download the latest zip file from Github to replace your current folder, configure the settings file (unless this has been shown to be changed on Github you can just overwrite it with your old one) and run.

Bear in mind the development pace is pretty frenetic at the moment so you will likely get bug fixes or new features if you check in every week.
