Updating to new release code

If a new release of code is released what is the process to updating PlexConnect, I am on Ubuntu and would like to know so that when new code is released I can update to apply new changes.

currently github: either sync repository or download the zip.

I am on Ubuntu remember is there still a way to sync? or do you think its best just to download new updated files and overwrite old ones?

Synch using Github or just download the zip, it is only a small folder

Yes and then do you just overwrite the existing PlexConnect files? I will be downloading from GitHub

Well, you can also try it my personal way: I mostly do the updates line by line, without github... :-D

Will automatic updating come soon out of interest?

Git clone for install

Git pull for updates


…or make a crone job that would do git pull on daily base
