How to play music directly from the Plex server

I use a MacMini as a Plex music server, and control it using the Plex (or PlexAmp) apps on an iPad. Rather than have the music come out of my iPad, I’d like the music to play from the MacMini itself, using the HDMI connection to the attached home theatre receiver. If I am using the Plex web interface on my MacMini, this works, but I’d like to be able to use the iOS apps to choose the music to play. The PlexCast button on the iPad app only shows the iPad as an available plater. Is there a way to use the iOS app to have music play directly from the server itself?

You should be able to run PlexAmp on the Mac Mini, then cast to it using the iPad.
