How to re-establish two factor authentication after iphone upgrade

After a recent iphone upgrade, I discovered that I’d lost my former authentication tokens from Google Authenticator (and Microsoft).

Fortunately I saved my recovery codes and am able to log into my Plex web acct. I attempted afterwards to disable 2 factor authentication in order to re-sync with new iphone authenticator app. In order to disable 2FA, I discovered that I have to provide token code from authenticator app which is lost!!!

How do I reset and get new 2FA connection with iphone app?

Thank you!

I’d used the same recovery code to try and disable the 2FA that I used to get re-linked to PlexTV after replacing phone. It didn’t work which is why I posted the note.

Trying a different recovery code (one I didn’t used before) seems to work. All back to normal. Thank you for prodding me to re-read the instructions again. I’m in and back to normal. I’m certain I used the same code before which failed, and didn’t see anything about that in the literature (if applicable). Thanks again.

Each code can only be used once.
You will have to create a set of new ones if you are down to one remaining.
