How to remove a TV Series from On Deck completely without watching it?

Blockquote

Thanks! That worked!

I’ve noticed the “Mark Watched then Unwatched” only works on a show if there are multiple seasons. It does not work on a show that has only one season in Plex.

I can’t believe this mark watched/unwatched is the only option for this.
What if we don’t want to remove all the watch history?

I may want to come back and watch a show 6 months later and it would be really annoying to have removed all of the tracking and not know where I left off.

“Remove from on deck” seems like a pretty obvious “feature” that’s missing.

I’d also like to see this feature, hope to see it happen.

For me, the watched/unwatched trick didn’t even work. Multiple seasons, so I marked the remaining episodes as watched. Then looked back at the deck and they were gone. When I marked the same episodes as unwatched, they appeared back to the deck.

Would like to see this feature added, something like “hide from deck for now” but if/when I return to the series, it could come back to deck

me too. please add functionality

If you’ve watched a previous season and deleted the season - adding the next season/episode puts the first unwatched episode On Deck.

Mark the Season watched.
In One Go - at the show, or season level.

I’m adding Billions Season 05.
I don’t want to watch it yet.
Every new episode goes directly to On Deck.
I simply mark it watched.
When the last one comes in I won’t mark it watched - I’ll mark the entire season unwatched - 'cause it’s Go Time!

I don’t want to Remove Billions from On Deck permanently.
I’ll do it through quick manipulation of it’s Watched Status.

thanks for your input but that will not work for me. i have very much shows. some new and some which occasionaly get a new season. i dont want to see everything right away. soms shows i like more than others. but when i use your method, i mark shows as watched that i havent watched yet. the point is that i dont want some shows on deck but i want to be able to see where i was with viewing when i do feel like seeing the show. not when a new season is complete. and when i just mark them as watched and let them remain unwatched until i want to see them i will not now which episode i was at.

Add more items to your On Deck, or use less.
If you can’t see them - they won’t annoy you. If your On Deck is short - you’re only dealing with the hot ones at the front and the cold ones at the back won’t appear until you clear some of the hot ones.

Use The Solution:

or Create a Feature Request.

This thread is solved.

In a nutshell - the general idea is not to start watching more shows than you can deal with. I’m a binger, but shows I have in progress, of course, have to be On Deck. I don’t get more On Deck than I can deal with.

Having surprise unwatched seasons - isn’t the worst thing that can happen - like when you get locked in for
 ever

There is now an advanced preference under Library, which allows you to switch off the display of season premieres in OnDeck.

It makes perfect sense that they’d bury a feature that seems to be quite popular deep in settings.
But thanks, none the less. I did not know that said preference toggle had been added.

The only logical answer here would be an option like Remove from On Deck.

No, that’s crazy. No one wants that.

Sure and a big streaming service like Netflix just happened to add a most requested feature, exactly like that.
