I have to upgrade disk1 on my WD MyCloud PR2100 from 4TB to 10TB (disk2 is already at 10TB). I can’t find anything about how you go about this in the forum, and I’m pretty sure when I replaced disk2 several years ago I basically had to rebuild all the libraries from scratch, which I would hate to have to do again (they’re a lot larger now).
Of course a big part of the challenge is that the Plex Media Server install lives on disk1, which I didn’t have to deal with last time.
Is it possible to install the new disk in the second slot and copy everything from disk1, then move it to the first slot and reinstall the existing disk2? Somehow I don’t think it’s that simple but if anyone can point me to some guidance I would appreciate it.
