How to run two Plex media servers on same network

I have a plex pass and PMS running on a windows 10 PC (server1). I’m attempting to add an additional PMS on a Qnap 251+ (server2) on the same network. When I launch pms on server2 it prompts me to login and then routes me to server 1 (even though i’m connected to server2) via IP. Is there a way to see both servers with one plex pass or do need another one with s separate login?

Thanks

You can sign into as many servers with same account wether you have Plex Pass for that account or not.

it should asking you to claim any unsigned in server on the same network though as soon as you sign into web app.

You can also try an SSH tunnel so it appears like you are on local host of QNAP. basic instructions in the “on another network” section here https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200288586-Installation

( you should be able to skip sign in of web on on a server which is not signed in by hitting the “whats this” on bottom right of sign in page of web app )

When I connected via SSH (if I’m doing this right). I used Putty to tunnel to the ip address if the Qnap and then minimized the Tunnel. I then opened up a browser and connected to the http://local.nas.ip.address:32400/web

This took me to the login page but still routed me to the other plex server.

If you are doing this from windows and did the set up like in instructions, you want to use http://localhost:8888/web

Still no luck with http://localhost:8888/web. This timed out in the browser. What else do I need to do?

I have 3 servers and have had upto 8 on one pass.
its like this
http://192.168.1.10:32400/web/index.html#
http://192.168.1.11:32400/web/index.html#
http://192.168.1.12:32400/web/index.html#
so the ip of your NAS:32400

strange. If you go to http://local.nas.ip.address:32400/web and log out. does it give you the “what’s this” option on bottom right so you can skip login?

I feel like something may be screwy with installation. In server logs does it show up as starting up normally?

When I logout/login, this is what I see in a browser (capture attached). When I login it redirects me login to my other available server and does not give me the option to setup the server. Even if I turn off my other PMS, it still looks for that server. Is there a config somewhere that routes me directly to my other server that can be disabled. I have also removed and re-added the PMS installation on the QNAP a few times.

URL at Login: http://172.168.1.50:32400/web/index.html

Redirects me to:

It asks me to sign in (capture attached)

I sign in with my plex account pass and it redirects me to my Windows 10 PMS (on a seperate PC same network) URL reads http://172.168.1.50:32400/web/index.html which is the same as 172.168.1.119:32400/web/index.html

I have attached the QNAP log.

when you click “use a different email address” and the three options show (FB, Google, Email) please take a screen shot of the entire screen

Sorry I meant the plex media server.log not the qnaps event log.

Here is what I get after use different email address

can you grab the Plex Media Server.Log after start up. they are in the PMS folder location here https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/202915258

Here are three logs. After I stopped and started plex on my Qnap today and two logs from yesterday

Any updates?

if you trust somebody - allow them to help you remotely. teamviewer ?

Sure. I have not used team viewer how do I setup the teamviewer client? Basic install or unattended?

I have having issues with both servers replacing each other instead. I have signed out of both and then turn on off and try one and I am able to claim one and then when I turn the other one one, I usually do not have to claim it, it just appears over the previous one.

Have you created a “clone” server by copying all Plex data, including the server configuration from one server to the others?

If you did that, you need to

Yea, I realized that I never deleted the Registry entries from when I migrated my Plex server to my other computer. Once I deleted the Reg files and reinstalled Plex media server I was good to go. Thanks
