wondering how to have a friend account set a PIN now that they are part of my plex home
They have to set the pin on their own account. you can’t do it for them. You can only set up a pin for your managed users.
Thank you, and understood. If I direct them to https://www.plex.tv/pin-reset/ will it eventually show that a pin is associated to their account?
They need to go to https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/users-sharing and click SET PIN which will show when hovering on their user row.
