How to setup TV for Plex

Hi all,

I want to share my Linux Plex Server (Version 1.41.2.9134) with my friend to watch on their X90J Sony TV. However their internet speed is only 25Mbps download max.

A lot of my videos are 30-50 Mbps.

I have plenty of resouces to transcode, so what is the best way to setup Plex on their TV? Which of the many settings should I set?

In the Plex app on the Sony, set the remote streaming quality to a value below 25 Mbps. Start at 20 Mbps, but may need to lower it a bit, so Plex and their other Internet traffic do not interfere with each other.

You can experiment with Auto Adjust Quality enabled and disabled. Most of my remote users leave it disabled.
