Hi, Most of the video files I use with Plex are my own performance videos but Plex always finds weird ways to match them with commercial movies – I really can’t tell how they match. It has been a lot of work deleting the added metadata every time I add the movie files. I haven’t been able to find a way to stop this auto-generate metadata feature. I need the title of the movies to be the file name I gave.
A twist is that I do have a folder with movies I own and digitized. I would like to have the metadata matching feature only within this folder. If the above disabling is possible, can I have the folder level control?
Best place those “performance videos” in an Other video type library. There’s no matching with commercial content for that library type. Keep the regular movies in a separate library.
I just tried the new Library as Other Video as my performance videos and added a few folders those which were subfolders separated by different bands etc. I was surprised they all merged into one.
I was wondering if I am adding folders to a Lib, why would they not be the top directories? I do not wish to create tens of Libraries. Is there any way? Thank you for your help!
