Recently, there was a new feature added that allows me to remove an item from the Continue Watching section: Universal Continue Watching (experimental feature). I did this accidentally and I can’t figure out how to undo it. The article states it will reappear if I resume watching it, but that doesn’t seem to work. I’ve tried marking the entire show watched, then unwatched, then marking only the first season as watched and season 2 does not show up under Continue Watching like it used to.
I’m running PMS v 1.22.2.4282 and Roku Plex v6.7.18.6920-44ea894e9
So, I did find something that did work: I started playing an s02e01, got to 1m56s, and stopped it. I confirmed it now shows in progress in Continue Watching then marked it unwatched. Now it’s staying there. It’s puzzling why simply marking watched/unwatched doesn’t have the same effect.
Thanks for this, I have been hunting for a solution for this for a week or so now… I was looking up “Shows not showing under Continue Watching” which brought nothing up, then I noticed the option to “Remove from Continue Watching” and found this.
I had been trying to mark the season and episode as Unwatched and then marking them as watched again which didn’t work… Simply playing part of the episode as you suggested and then stopping it part way though and then marking it was unwatched it fixed it.
A bit of a pain that simply marking the season or episode as unwatched and watched doesn’t fix that. Would be handy if they had the option to right click and choose “Add to Continue Watching” as well… but I guess they have built it for those that simply use Plex to watch shows.
Personally I use it to track what I watch on my PC (simply marking them as watched when I’m done) and occasionally watch them on my phone or tablet when I’m not home.
