I’m watching a series for the second time. I chose it from the TV shows library. When I watch the first episode, the 2nd episode doesn’t appear in Continue Watching. No subsequent episode appears in Continue Watching. Can I force it somehow? I don’t want to have to manually track which episode I"m on when that would appear to be the purpose of continue watching.
Hello, You need to go to the season (or top show) and mark as Unwatched, then it will go back to continue watching status.
That… or start watching the first 1-2 minutes of the next episode – this way it’ll also show in continue-watching.
I recommend this. Plex will only list the “continue watching” next episode of the next unwatched episode in a show. If you mark the entire show as unwatched, it will then act as it did the very first time.
I’ve got family that watches and rewatches several shows. If there is one thing I tell them how to do, is mark them unwatched so this behavior works the way they want.
Side note to devs: I wonder if it is possible to automate marking an entire show as unwatched using a script or something… It could work for “every show” that is completed, but I’d prefer to mark certain shows in particular to be automatically marked unwatched once there are no unwatched episodes left.
Feature request: the next episode should automatically show up in On Deck. Far easier to remove it from there than it is to mark as unwatched/watched.
