How to upgrade/migrate Plex from x86 to x64 (Windows)

Maybe this has been asked before but is the only way to change from x86 to x64 server by backup, re-install, and restore?
I realized recently I had installed the ‘media server’ windows version that is only x86 a long time ago, so now I’d like to install the proper x64 version but I don’t see any option to do that.

  • Add/remove programs > Change only gives options to repair or uninstall.
  • Starting the combo x86_x64 installer just seems to want to install side-by-side ignoring the existing x86 installation.

Then back that up on like an external drive

There is no x64 server build for Windows, yet. So there is no way to migrate.
