I have never really seen this issue. The only thing I could suggest would be to check the Audio & Subtitle Settings selections under your Account settings. Ensure the Track selection setting is set to English audio.
I found the solution for this, in my case anyway. I have the popular plex_pp.sh script running after recording to run the recorded video through Handbrake and make its size smaller and make it an mp4. What I have found is sometimes on some shows the new stream is set with the audio description on or it is set to another language. When I choose the original video stream (usually mpeg2) then the audio description is gone and I can choose my native language (English).
