HowTo: Multiple TV Episodes in a Single File - Playback Incorrect

I’ve recently added a single video file that contains multiple episodes from a single season of a TV Show.

Plex separated them into multiple entries just find with the appropriate meta data included in each listing. However, when I go to play episode 4 of 4, the video begins playing at the beginning of the file, episode 1 of 4. The same of true for 2 and 3 of 4. I noticed the runtime for each episode is 1 hr, 45 minutes. Basically, Plex is still playing the entire media file instead starting at the appropriate time index for each episode.

I’m confused why, when importing, it was able to separate them, but not when playing.

See attached. Each of those four episodes begins playing what should be episode one.

I have a second video file which contains episodes 5-8 doing the same thing.

Nevermind: Note: Multi-episode files will show up individually in Plex apps when viewing your library, but playing any of the represented episodes will play the full file. If you want episodes to behave truly independently, you’re best off using a tool to split the file into individual episodes.
