HRTunerProxy 4.0 - Plex will not tune

I have VU+ Duo2 with OpenPli 6.2 and HRTunerProxy 4.0
Plex is running on CentOS 7 server.

I want to get Live&PVR to work.

Plex is finding the tuner (192.168.0.xxx:6083) get channel list and loading (very SLOW!) EPG from xml file on the server.

When trying to see live TV it will not tune the channel.

I belive HRTunerProxy use port 8001 (but not 100% sure) as streaming port. Does Plex expect port 5004?

Has anyone got Plex Live&DVR working with HRTunerProxy 4.0?

I’m using it with my vuuno4k and VTI 13.x.

  • just copy the hrtunerproxy to the supported path and activate it in vti-Menue. Just activate SAT as tuner and select the channel list.
  • how you created an xml-EPG-File? Becouse of the not very good integration of an SAT-Provider it seems to be a interesting metoth.

So your Plex server is able to communicate with your STB so it tune the channel and you got the stream?

Yes, EPG are in a xml file. I have a script (and a config file to the script) on my CentOS server that create the xmltv.xml file. The script can also create m3u file for software that can use Enigma2 STB as IP TV source like TV Mosaic.

Yes that’s correct.

Could you share the script and config to me?

Some log’s
hrtunerproxy.zip (16.9 KB)
Plex Media Server Logs_2018-09-26_18-42-04.zip (845.7 KB)

For people that has interesset in get EPG to xml from Enigma2

Moved to: EPG to xml from Enigma2

No support from Plex developers…?

No interest in helping?

Do they want people to change to TV Mosaic?

Tried to do more logging.

Now I have tested Emby media’s server on Windows 8 PC.

HRTunerProxy 4.0 is then working perfect with VU+ Solo2 and OpenPLi 6.2

Then the problem is located with PLEX.

Is it any support from the Plex team?

We don’t support that. https://support.plex.tv/articles/225877427-supported-dvr-tuners-and-antennas/

Have you stopped using your “HDHR API”?

Can you share with how you interface SiliconDust HDHomeRun tuners so the team behind HRTunerProxy can make changes so it is possible to connect Enigma2 STB’s with Plex?

HRTunerProxy still works fine for me?!

HRTunerProxy folks can contact us using “partners” option on our contact form if they would like. I make no promises about anything.

I can’t get Plex DVR working with my VU+ Duo2 or VU+ Solo2 (OpenPLi 6.2) by the HRTunerProxy 4.0

People htat har it up and running can they please enter the configuration.

Is it correct that PLEXDVR API is the former name of HRTunerProxy, or is it to different plugins?

My settings:

STB: VU+ Solo2 (now testing on this)
Image: OpenPLi 6.2
HRTunerProxy version: 4.0
Plex version: 1.13.8.5395
Plex server OS type and version: CentOS 7

STB : Vu Uno 4k SE
Image : VTI 13.0.12
HRTunerProxy version : latest
Plex version : 1.13.8.5395
Plex server OS type and version : Nvidia Shield

And it works most of the time

Currently I can’t get any signal out of Plex anymore either, although it used to work fine. I always get a “en error has occured” message. The green competitor still works fine without issues.

I forgot to add, that this only happens on some of the channels, not all. So probably a different problem than yours…

A lot of people have been saying they have had tuner problems after getting the latest server update.

The solution that worked for me was to downgrade to the previous version.

see this thread here

What version did you downgrade to and do you still have the grid EPG then or only the icon EPG?

I used the link in the thread posted

https://downloads.plex.tv/plex-media-server/1.13.5.5332-21ab172de/Plex-Media-Server-1.13.5.5332-21ab172de.exe?_ga=2.193047853.1625673251.1539896089-614988060.1538765162

still has the grid view
