http://192.168.0.32:32400 i have a wdpr2100 and used as a media server. It worked fine until today
need to add /web at the end and likely needs https
https://192.168.0.32:32400/web
or use https://app.plex.tv/desktop (which will always be latest version of web app)
Hmmm…can’t reach this page
Try this
- Make sure you’ve got the right web address: https://192.168.0.32:32400
- Search for “https://192.168.0.32:32400” on Bing
- Refresh the page
I am using a wdpr2100 mycloud server as my media player. When I installed and uninstalled the latest PLEX software update, I tried to configure it, in the mycloud and that error showed.
| App Name: | Plex Media Server | |
|---|---|---|
| Version: | 1723878 | |
| Installed on: | Tuesday, 2019 February 19, 3:09:09 PM | |
| App Settings: | Configure | |
| Run App: | ON | |
| Remove App: | Uninstall |
guessing you are using Edge. have you tried a different browser. it seems like the web app is not running for some reason. does it work from https://app.plex.tv/desktop ?
It doesnt work from either. I uninstalled it from my wdpr2100 server, then updated it from your latest download and I cant get it to configure from the wdpr2100 server either
when you go to https://app.plex.tv/desktop what loads? does it just say searchng for server?
Yes, it just says searching for a server
when you look at server logs any errors starting up? (will have to grab them manually in the PMS directory) https://support.plex.tv/articles/202915258-where-is-the-plex-media-server-data-directory-located/#toc-2
How do I do that?
access the directory on your NAS the server data is stored (location in linked article above) and look at the plex media server.log file.
ok, I had to reset my wd server and it still doesnt work
It worked fine yesterday and this morning, nothing
what does this mean? how did you reset it?
You can try this deleting those 4 entries mentioned in the preferences.xml file
https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/
To add to @BigWheel’s post,
When Plex/web is trying to find your server and gets confused, the best next step is to use an incognito Window or Tab and with your signed out of your Plex.tv account.
This way, it doesn’t rely on plex.tv past knowledge. It looks directly at the IP you’ve pointed it at first.
how do I do that?
I CANT EVEN CONFIGURE WITHIN MY WD PLEX SERVER
I did a hard reset to my wdpr2100 to have it located on my server. All data stayed the same, when I go into my wd media server it wont even configure within it in the app. I uninstalled the app, in that wd media server, then downloaded your latest update and reinstalled it in the wd media server and it wont configure.
I am not well versed with the WD. I will sign into one and see what I can figure out.
It should be as easy as:
- Open an incognito window in your browser
- Open http://ip.addr.of.wd:32400/web
Try this
- Make sure you’ve got the right web address: http://ip.addr.of.wd:32400
- Search for “http://ip.addr.of.wd:32400” on Bing
- Refresh the page
