I am having trouble launching Plex from my ReadyNAS 102

Hello. New to the forum and pretty new to Plex, too. I am having trouble launching Plex from my ReadyNAS 102. I am on my laptop, Wifi connection, and trying to launch from my NAS so as to play on my Roku box. The Roku plays great using my laptop as a server, but I’m thinking, maybe, that the NAS just doesn’t have enough oomph (my laptop is an i7 w/16GB RAM).
Can anyone help me with this, or am I better off building a dedicated Plex server and just pull the files from the ReadyNAS?
I’ve attached the log files.

Thanks for any advice given.

Hi Trux0rz

I too use Plex on my ReadyNAS Duo V2, which an RN a generation older than yours, and I must admit I cannot play videos directly from it either, as you said it just does not have the oomph. However, I can listen to music, mp3 digital albums, directly on headphones and I can play mp4 videos via my Roku 3 box directly to my TV.

I would also suggest that you get a copy of Handbrake, an essential software utility for low powered NAS users, so that you can convert unplayable video files into playable mp4 video files.

Hope his helps.
