My ipad can’t change the desktop icon of the little dinosaur. Why is that?
When I choose, it reminds me that I need to buy a pass. I am a lifetime pass. Is there a bug in the ipad program? Verify
Are you signed into the app with your account that has the Plex Pass?
You should be able to verify via Settings > Account on your iPad.
Also… which version of the app do you have installed and on what version of iOS/iPadOS?
I didn’t register and purchase the pass through Apple ID. I am an Android user, but I used the plex account and subscription pass registered by email. When I opened the plex with the ipad and logged in with the email account, everything seemed to be functioning normally! However, changing the icon prompts me to subscribe to the pass. I tried to restore the id but it prompts that I have not purchased with the Apple id, so I cannot restore the purchase! I feel as if the logic of a certain verification link is wrong?
Your Plex Pass isn’t linked to the Apple ID. That’s only relevant for users who don’t have a Plex Pass and unlock the iPad through a one-time activation (which is handled through the app store account).
Do you see a Plex Pass in the Plex app settings on your iPad?
Yes, I’m sure. The account displays “Lifetime Plex Pass” and has the PASS logo in the settings.
Does your issue persist after (a) force-quitting and restarting the app or (b) signing out and back in again?
Yes, I am sure I have logged out, logged back in, logged out of the application and reopened it. The prompt remains, my ipadOS version 14.8
Which version of the Plex app do you have installed on that iPad?
7.24.1
Can you please sign out, back in and subsequently try to change the icon… when you did this, please share the logs of the Plex app on your iPad (so the log covers the sign-in + your attempt to change the icon).
