As mentioned I intalled plex on a new PC and wanted to add new libraries, the option for it does not appear. I only tells me to download Plex Media Server again though I have it running.
I’ve seen other threads about this but I either didn’t understand how they were solved or the solutions did not work.
I’m running plex on a Windows 10 Desktop with Chrome and I’m logged with the correct User.
EDIT: Please let me know what other info could be usefull such as logs and how to get them.
so you are logged into your server (plex) via a web browser (chrome)?
you should have been asked to setup media… did you CLAIM your server?
go into settings > settings > general… you should be logged there.
otherwise on the main page hover over your server name on the left pane… next to it should be a plus + sign…click that.
if you don’t see your server try expanding MORE.
Just in case, I had installe plex server in this PC after the setup but never completed the log in. Then after a few months I wanted to use this again and the server options were not available, so I tried reinstalling and the issue remained.
SOLUTION Erasing the variables from the registry worked as mentioned in the post below, I recommend googling how to access and modify the registry separately as I didn’t know what this was and how it was modified.
